Scanavo has taken over manufacturing plant from Eleko Industries in Zhuhai China.

Scanavo – one of the leading companies in the media packaging industry – is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to acquire all assets from Eleko Industries (ZhuHai) Ltd, in China. Scanavo has taken over the operation of the factory from 1st January 2008.

In the recent years Scanavo has focused increasingly on innovation, and many new products have successfully been introduced. Practical testing of new inventions and part of the research as well as production has been carried out by the experienced technicians and workers at the Eleko factory in ZhuHai.

"Eleko Industries is a strategic addition to Scanavo and our customers and employees will benefit from the substantial synergies which will be achieved between the teams of the two companies. The acquisition is consistent with our determination to grow and with the ownership of Eleko we demonstrate our strong belief that the demand for innovative and quality packaging solutions continues to grow" says Tino Sølling, CEO of Scanavo.

The new manufacturing plant has 230 employees and 20.000 square meters, the capacity to manufacture in excess of 100 mill cases per year, and with focus on quality it is a factory well equipped for innovations and customer specific production.

The Factory is ISO 9001 – 14000 and Sony Green Partner certified.
